Gloom Beacon is an epic game challenging you to use your strategic thinking at full scale. Even the most exacting players will be satisfied: it combines turn-based card strategy with role-playing elements; and mahjong style combats, though hasteless, are really thrilling.
Starting the game you should first choose the sex and the race of your character: human, elf, dwarf, Minos (looks like a bull), Lahama (some kind of a demon), Rooh (a huge bird), Skogi (looks like a rat) or Kanchhor, which is, apparently, a snake.
Then you read the sorrowful tale of Oasis, which was a prosperous trade center long ago, but now it is enshrouded in darkness. Ships of desert cannot find it any more, because the evil magician Krachont has built the Gloom Beacon, and now its dark beams hide Oasis day and night. He has enslaved the citizens, turned the former king into a ruthless monster and imprisoned the queen.
Lots of intrepid warriors tried to force the Dark Tower and to defeat the evil magician, but not a bit of it. But now it is your turn to fight Krachont and his numerous accomplices. Each battle consists of two parts: the chess-like board showing the enemy units and your allies. The squares affect your health and mana levels in different way: for example, a certain square can increase fire mana and decrease water mana by 20 points each, but there can be no effect on air and earth mana. It means that you can choose the better square to start the combat.
As you have already guessed, your character (and each allied unit) has a certain number of health points and four types of mana required to cast spells. The spells are represented in the form of mahjong plates, so that you cast them playing according to mahjong rules. Remember: the spells do not work if you lack mana! Assemble a strong troop, work out a strategy and let the Fortune smile upon you.

Wicked Defense 2 is a sequel to the popular Wicked Defense game published earlier. It continues the saga of a real-time strategy game in 3D where you are to construct towers on the battlefield and cast instant magic spells to prevent the large hordes of incoming monsters spawning at some fixed location on the map from reaching their one or several destinations.
In the game each tower you can build has its own special characteristics such as type of the weapon, effective range and the overall functionality among others. Many tower characteristics can be upgraded by using three unique paths, making each tower completely customizable. The spells can be cast on a specific map square and include massive destruction spells like fire, lightning and meteor storms in addition to special spells that slow down monsters, speed up other towers and even spawn independent friendly units on the map. The correct placement of the towers, their upgrades and careful usage of magic spells makes the difference between winning and losing the game.
There are many different unique monsters in the game. Each monster can be identified by its type and class. Different monster types have different special abilities such as healing, cloning, subdivision and so on. The monster class determines how powerful the monster is - smaller monsters tend to have weaker abilities while stronger monsters besides their strong special ability can give that ability to other neighbor weaker monsters. The player needs to adjust the defensive strategy depending on what monsters are on the battlefield.
The game features 9 unique tower designs (each with three upgrade categories), 7 different targeting strategies, 10 unique spells and 11 unique monsters (each coming in 4 different classes). The included Scenario and Script Editor allows you to create very unique maps, mods and even completely different game types. The game runs scripts in real-time and allows to change the many aspects of the game. Last but not least, the game features dazzling 3D visual effects, MP3 and OGG music playback capability and 3D sound effects.
