The Deep Black: Reloaded is a video game in the “Action” genre (third person shooter). Deep Black features extensive gameplay (40 single player missions in 4 different environments) that offers a mix of terrestrial and underwater battles, which so far has no direct analogues in this genre in the global video games market.
The sci-fi project with detailed action-packed underwater combats will feature a new trend in TPS genre. Exciting gameplay suggests using both environments for combats: land and underwater.
The unique setting of Deep Black comprises an immersive story line, complex science-fiction mystery, espionage and bio-terror. The story line runs up in the nearest future in the world of unsteadiness, chaos, espionage, terrorism, desperate fight for world supremacy and possession of sophisticated biological weapon.
Usage of realistic physical effects in the underwater environment enforces players to feel all the deepness of fear and unpredictability of combats in Deep Black.

have succesfully gotten past tightening the valve in the tutorial, still playing with no more issues.
The problem is that the Launcher.exe gives off the following error upon starting: "A referral was returned from the server" and starting the game through the DeepBlack.exe fires off the your-game's-broken-you-need-reformat-your-computer thingy. But, using the uncracked Launcher.exe file renders the game completely playable and error-free.

That "A referral was returned from the server" error seems to be triggered by windows 7, not the game. It was tested on both xp and 7 and no problems found, though.
The uncracked Launcher.exe is also an outdated one, too. You can also try launching the game offline.

Blocking might be a good idea for those who have errors when it tries to check updates, to emulate offline mode. Either way, even if not blocked and connects fine, it won't update anything - it was specifically cracked to block such attempts, afaik.

No problems now after explanation using the old Launcher blocked in firewall, thanks again.

What was the problem with the cracked launcher? If it was an error like above, did you try to fix it, knowing it is a windows error?

I got both errors from above, if i copied the whole v1.2 update, i couldnt use the desktop shortcut pointed to the Launcher.exe, because of the referral thingy from the server. As i started the game directly with the DeepBlack.exe, i became the error with broken game files in the Tutorial (straightly after 5 mins of gameplay). So only keeping the old Launcher.exe makes me solve both problems, as you said. Now i play over 1hr without any messages or errors.

Well, i`m a bit stupid, i put compatibility mode (XP Service Pack 2) and administrative privilegs onto the cracked Launcher.exe, now it works also with the cracked one from v1.2.

Thank you for that! The actual error, though, is vastly described as being fixed with disabling UAC. I suspect that running as admin could also work, if that's really the cause. The main point here is that this error is known by users of many different apps which return it after trying to get some online data, and is triggered by OS, so it's not really an application problem.
Another testing possibility (for those who are curious) is to install the game without a crack, let it auto-update itself with original 1.2 patch and see if original 1.2 launcher gives same "referral" error under same conditions, that could prove that it's not a crack problem; or that could give a proper ground for a possible crackfix.

Right, after replacing the Launcher i can`t rightclick on the desktop shortcut and choose run as administrator, i have to go into the shortcut properties and set the administrator privilegs there, then it starts without referral error. Just curiuos.

I think i solved it by changing the uiAccess flag in the manifest of the cracked Launcher.exe from uiAccess=true to uiAccess=false. Now it works without any special permissions and rightclick to run as administrator works now directly from the desktop shortcut.
