The unfolding narrative is accompanied by stylized graphics that depict a world where darkness, not light, is the primary life source.

Hyperspace Invaders Zero is based on a collection of minimal game concepts.
The main game - Soulgrinder - is a hectic vertical scrolling shooter (or "shmup" if you will) that borrows bits of mechanics from a multitude of games, enough so it can act as a novel game on its own.
If you play well enough, you get to unlock two other games which are heavily inspired by classic games such as "Space Invaders" (Retro Mode) - including a Retro 2P Mode - and "Paratrooper" (Space Trooper Mode). The main idea behind all 3 of these was simply to create an addictive virtual interactive environment.

AVSEQ (which we pronounce “A-V-Sekk”) is an audio-driven game based on an installation design by our chief programmer, Tom Betts, who multi-classes as an artist and musician. The idea behind the project was to create a challenging, abstract action game in which you link up atoms to obtain a high score. As you do that, however, you unlock the underlying structure to each level, which is a musical sequencer.
Ah, so now we’re getting to the origins of that strange name. AVSEQ = audio-visual sequencer. As you play through the pretty-looking visual atom-linking element of the game you also activate the sequencer grid, creating musical loops. This process is random, so each level playthrough will create a different loop, based on the grid of sounds you are able to unlock on that level. Each AVSEQ level has 2.2300745198530623×10^43 possible audio permutations, thats 22 tredecillion in total. No, honestly, that’s a real number, we looked it up.

Существуют разные способы набора очков (дрифтинг, удары по объектам, преследование), и для определенного способа некоторые машины подходят больше, чем другие. Every race is different in Ignite. Each race brings something new as players try to win by using their own tactics. The score system in Ignite allows for tactics to be used during a race. Gathering score allows the use of nitro in the race and converts to time bonus at the end. So short term usage of nitro can help the players get out of situations ahead of the others but using a lot of nitro and thus score may cost him the game. There are different methods of gathering score (drafting, hitting objects, drifting) and some cars are more suited for a method then the other. Choosing the right car for the preferred method and playing out your strategy will make the player win the game.
