Первым из них была магия, с помощью которой можно было творить различные чудеса, а вторым - волшебный металл Клерия, способный во много раз усилить эффект чар, и из которого делали различные артефакты. Однако богини не смогли предвидеть, что их детище начнёт впитывать все тёмные и мерзкие помыслы людей, одержимых звоном драгоценного металла. Зависть, жадность, ненависть - всё это стало обратной стороной Клерии. Впитав в себя всю негативную энергию, жемчужина стала чёрной и начала притягивать к себе существ из потустороннего мира. Вскоре орды демонов обрушились на Ис, после чего людям пришлось искать укрытия в храме Соломона, считавшегося домом богинь. Великим Священникам и богиням удалось с помощью магии поднять храм высоко в небо, подальше от царящего на земле хаоса. Но беды на этом не закончились - из-под земли поднялась огромная демоническая башня, после чего ужас, царящий на земле, стал медленно распространяться и на воздух. Во время всей этой суматохи произошло ещё одно непредвиденное событие - богини бесследно исчезли.


700 years before the events of Ys I & II, the land of Ys was on the brink of destruction. Demons came in droves and forced the twin Goddesses who ruled the land to whisk their subjects away from the surface, into the safe embrace of the clouds. The demons were persistent, however, erecting a massive tower in pursuit. The battle that raged upon the ground had begun ascending for a second round up above. One day, amidst this turmoil, the Goddesses stole away into the night, vanishing from Ys altogether. And there's only one place they could have gone: the Devil's Tower.
A search party of knights and sorcerers was hastily formed and dispatched to the surface in hopes of retrieving these runaway deities. Among its members were apprentice knight Yunica Tovah and troubled sorcerer Hugo Fact. This is their story. Or at least, it's how each of them remembers it.

The game takes place in an old Scottish mansion recently inherited by young Shuggy, a cartoon vampire. To clear the mansion of evil spirits he must venture through the five different areas of the mansion, The Dungeon, The Boiler Room, The Gallery, The Graveyard and The Clocktower. Progress through the mansion is punctuated by comic book cut scenes and the occassional boss encounter.

Gateways is a 2D platform game set in the lab of an inventor called Ed following an outbreak of a number of his more "creative" experiments. Can you help him escape the lab?
Alongside the traditional platform elements such as jumping on enemies heads, spikes and moving platforms are the gateway guns. The gateway guns allow you to place two gateways on the walls, floors and ceilings of the lab so that when you pass through one you emerge out of the other. As progress is made through the game different types of gateway gun are introduced with different effects. After the basic gun, you acquire a gun that creates two gateways of different sizes, passing through one way shrinks Ed to half his size and the other way makes Ed grow to twice his size. Then you find a gun where one gateway doesn't just connect to the others location but also its time, allowing Ed to travel back in time and encounter earlier versions of himself. Finally, the last gun manipulates gravity so passing through allows Ed to walk along walls and on ceilings.

Your mission is to use what is left and to destroy the prototype.
Finding and getting your way to the target might be a difficult task with the conventional arms, but since you will be equipped with a power "boost", you should be able to complete this mission.
